Video sharing site YouTube is currently working on improving its design UI along with overall appearance. To try on the new layout, users will need to install a third party extension to Google Chrome. At the moment, Chrome is the only browser in which you can try out the new YouTube design.
A few changes to the new interface have been listed on Google System like the new design will replace the solid control bar with a gradient and rather simplifies icons. A few tweaks have also been made to the menus. Animations have been altered and will now offer a more subtle visual flair. The new player will also feature bigger and bolder icons. Toggles for autoplay and annotations have been given a better look and drop-downs for speed and quality are replaced by mobile-inspired menus.
To activate the new player interface on your Google Chrome browser, follow these steps:
1. Download the extension EditThisCookie from the Chrome web store.
2. After installation, open YouTube and visit any page.
3. Launch EditThisCookie and click “VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE”.
4. After that, change the value to Q06SngRDTGA.
After these steps, users can enjoy the new advanced preview. Users can also view a full video tutorial below. A report by Android Police states, ‘presumably Firefox users can achieve the same effect using their favorite cookie editing add on.’
